We had to get up pretty early for this one as it was all the way down south to sunny Essex. We all met up at a service station, fletch, bmwgirlie, Al_Walker, Andy, Foxy and FBI, we then jumped on the motor way for a bit before meeting up with puntoboy, fletch was on a mission having just got his car back so carried on to the show ground at warp speed!!!! Only to have to wait for the rest of us because we had his ticket.
We arrived in Essex and joined the long queue of show cars waiting to enter the airfield, we met Donny Rover and Donny Clio and was directed to our stand space. This show was a bit special for UGS as we were being filmed for a programme on ITV called ‘Revved Up’ because of this we had the best stand space imaginable - in between the Toyo and Ripspeed trailers!!!
The sun was out and this was possibly the hottest show of the year, by lunch time all refreshment vans on site had run out of cold drinks and the temperature was still rising. There was plenty of cars to keep our mind off the weather though with our stand being opposite an E36 cabby on chrome spinners.
