An early start on Friday morning was needed to make the long journey for most of us down to Brighton, to miss the traffic and to get our stand into place and tents up before it got dark. This year not having any complications with cars being late out of the body shop! We met at the services and jumped straight onto the motor way, we arrived at Brighton and set to work putting up the tents before a supermarket trip to get the usually beer and burgers, extra was needed for this weekend though as it was bravophil’s 21st birthday!
Saturday arrived and the sun was out, we arranged our cars on the stand which like most of the shows this year was one of the biggest club stands there. We put the new flags up and the banners to let everyone know where we were at and set to work cleaning our cars awaiting the hundreds of people that would be looking at them over the next two days Saturday night saw the hosting of the after show party in Brighton town centre which a few us managed to make it down to. A memorable night for all!
A great show with plenty of the usual drunken jokes were had, and who can forget little-punty-gt being towed home (again!!!), roll on next year!!!
